"Welcome aboard, mateyyyyysss..."
I inch backward slightly. It seems that we have backed up into that fatal circle formation once more, except this time, we have no where to run.
Perhaps we should swim for it again? Dx
"Erm, nice to meet you too?" Chibi-bunni pipes up. Her eyes dart back and forth, wondering where this voice, exactly, is coming from.
"Ah, someone knowsss their mannerss..."
The ship, slowly, comes to life. Ghosts slide across the wooden boards, misty and chilling. The clothes they wear are of a great variety; tailcoats, cummerbunds, hats, hooks, feathers...in other circumstances, they probably would have been comical. Like a kid's coloring book, I suppose. But now... >.> <.<
"Do you reckon they got any gold?"
I immediately shake my head. "No, oh no, sir. No gold at all. We've been on an adventure, you see..."
They seem to abandon the thought of gold, rustling about a bit. Perhaps that's the first smart thing I've done today. =D Bought us one precious second, it did.
Really.
"I'm not a sir, lassie."
Gulp. o.o
"Excuse me," Fae says politely. "Perhaps you have heard of LO?"
One of the pirates narrows his single eye at us. He inches forward. "What is this...LO?"
"A wonderful place, mateys!" Sar jumps in, waving her arms about wildly. "Full of rooms and undiscovered treasure and FUN!!! Harr-harr...harrr...harr?"
She quails under their curious gazes, hungry and selfish.
"Treasure, you say?"
Nerfe elbows Sar, who jostles into me, and I jostle Des. He glares at me for a moment, nearly slipping over the rope at his foot, then contributes his own few words.
"Not exactly treasure, persay, dear sirs and madams. Just a few pieces of shiny stuff in the muck..."
The pirates gather nearer. "Shiny stuff~" =D
Yunsi echoes them. "Shiny stuff!"
They turn their eyes upon her, but she seems relatively unaffected. When no one replies, she shrugs. "Sorry, I don't have anymore glitter." D=
This really isn't getting us anywhere. YYugi speaks up.
"Perhaps you could, er, take us there? I'm certain you're all masters of the ship."
A man with long hair scrutinizes him. "And what'd we get out of it, hmm?"
Adri beams. "All of our treasures! The shiny, the pretty, the bejeweled..."
"Just leave us with the frame of the house, a cauldron or two to cook our food in, and a few blankets, and we'll be fine." C: We all give Nerfe a pointed look. Actually, we won't be fine. We need to be pampered. The pirates cut in.
"Tis a deal. Let's tie 'em up, so they can't break their promises, aye?"
Shackles and ropes fly at us, bruising brains and removing dexterity. We protest as we're dragged down into the hold.
"We never made any promises, you cullies!" >.<
"Gerroff me!" D<
"Oy, get away! Your breath's stinky~" x.x;;
We're thrown into a moulding, dark compartment, a single lantern swaying on a post beside the portcullis that traps us in. It's extremely quiet once more, just a gentle creak echoing throughout the hull of the ship.
"All hands to starboard! Raise the mizzen!"
We exchange glances. What have we landed ourselves in now?

Erm, ha ha? Not a lot happened here, I guess. x.x I promise that something funny will happen once we're transported to LO. Like, finally. -_-;;
