Groggily, I wake up, massaging my head. It's pounding rather painfully, and at first, I mistake the sound of the booming and banging of that of my head on the wooden walls.
"Urgh..." I pull myself out of my sleepy stupor. "Whasat?"
The floorboards creak as someone rouses themselves in the dark. "I dunno."
It is then that I remember exactly why my head would be hitting a wooden wall, or why this little room we're in creaks.
Pirates. >.>
"Darknessss..." Someone moans. Dx Their voice is nearby, but very muffled. Tentatively, I reach out.
"Erm...are you okay?" =o
"No, no, no! I want light; it's too dark! Darkness!" >.<
"Aww, Chibi-bunni, it's okay," an unmistakably Yunsi-ish voice consoles. "I'm sure that lantern will be relighted soon..."
BOOM.
"Geez, what are those pirates doing up there?" Adri asks, very annoyed.
Sar sniggers. "Well, male urges and all, you know..."
Horrified silence. o.o
"EWWW!!!" Adri shrieks. The sound of a slap follows. "Ha ha ha! That's so gross!"
"Ow, Adri, you're abusing me again." x.x
"Oops, ha ha, sorry."
Th-thump th-thump! Boom!
"Are you sure it's not--"
"Sar, we're very, very sure," Fae interrupts. "Maybe they're...I dunno. Going through some kind of ritual or something..."
This time, Nerfe sniggers. "Ritual, ha ha, like a nighttime ritual?"
An exasperated sigh comes from the direction of Fae's voice. "That's so twisted. Besides, things like that happen in the day time too..."
"Ah ha ha ha!!! How would you know?" I crack up.
"Shut up. Geez, some of our minds do want to retain innocence!" YYugi protests. "Can't you guys keep it clean?"
"Fine," Fae sulks. "I didn't start it."
We're quiet once more, listening to the "ritual" going on above us. Boom, boom, thump. Boom, boom, thump.
"What if it is a ritual?" Chibi-bunni speaks up, forgetting about the darkness momentarily at the sound of company. "Like...they're renewing their ghost-selves or something?"
"How? By drinking blood?" Nerfe asks.
Des gives his own two cents. "Do you think that's what we're hear for?" D=
No waiiii~ :C
"Don't be absurd." Yunsi dismisses the prospect. "They're probably parading around in victory with their wooden legs and metal hooks. Glad to get some booty or whatnot."
"Yes! Yes!" I exclaim. "They need us to get to LO, besides."
"Only to get there. Not to do anything..." YYugi trails off.
"Pft," Des interrupts. "Like they believe we have treasure anyway. We don't, like duh."
Pessimist. o.<
BOOM! CRASH!
Our little wooden hole is filled with shrieks as a wall blows in, full of splinters and dust and water.
"OMG! OMG! Glub!"
We all flounder as bubbles come rushing in.
"Help!"
"Gah! No more water, no more water!!!"
"My hairrr!"
"Fear not, becaushe we shall shave you!"
A heavily accented voice calls triumphantly overhead. Temporarily, we forget our want to escape and look up to a fat shadow.
"Shave us?" Someone mumbles.
"I think he means, er, save us?" Yunsi suggests.
"Pull us up, then!!!" YYugi calls up.
The shadow seems to peer in for a moment. "Oh, umm, yesh, of course!. Come on, my mateysh, throw the rope in!"
We all scramble for the rope. However, as the first hand pulls it down, there's a sound of a heavy knot colliding with the water's surface.
"You're supposed to hold on to the other end, you moron!" Des hollers.
"Well, we're out of luck," Chibi-bunni says miserably. "At least there's a little light..."
"Whoa, hey, look," Sar gurgles from her spot. "A ladder...on the wall!" C:
"Why didn't we climb that before?" Adri asks as she pulls herself up.
"Cuz we're dumb like that. Move it, Adri," Fae says.
We all manage to reach the deck on time, dripping puddles everywhere. What we see is quite different from what we imagined...
"Goooooo LO!"
And so we launch ourselves into the fray.

I hope you all enjoyed the dialogue! C: Pleassse don't go counting how many lines you got compared to so-and-so, I couldn't keep track. Hence the reason why I usually mention names, like, once.
Yay for more action! =D Unplanned on my part, but it's still there, aye?
