We all dash through the crowds, bumping this way and that. Behind us, I'm sure, people's shopping bags are flying into the air, emptying contents on unsuspecting and unaware heads. However, I can't be too certain; I don't have time to turn around, nor do I have eyes in the back of my head.
"Chickiiiiiiie~"
"Gotcha! No...grr--Gotcha now! NO, YOU LITTLE--" >.<
Frustrated yells alert the passerby to step out of the way, oogling the strange string of...people. Perhaps they don't no we're people. I mean, we're plastered in sand and wet hair and the admins know what else...
Suddenly, the people disappear. It's like running through a wall. One moment, the people of Isle De Gambino are there. The next moment...it's all open. o.o
But we don't stop running. Ooh, we've almost got the little blighters now. Just two more feet further...we speed along the wooden planks, pounding our feet into them...
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM--
Splash.
u.u Nuu~
"Water again?!? NO! NO! I refuse to ever touch water again! NOO!!!"
We stop flailing and spluttering for a moment to turn and stare at Sar. Our resident LOian fish has lost her wish to swim.
Oh my. =O
"Hey, Snow," Adri grumbles from her spot by Sar, trying to lift her up but use her as a floating device at the same time, "Help me out."
I doggy-paddle over, taking a hold of Sar's other arm. "Oof, you're heavy."
"Hey!" she calls out. "You calling me fat?!?" D<
"No, no," Fae consoles her. "They just can't swim."
"Well, they're better than you," sniggers Nerfe. YYugi scoffs.
"Of course they are. They've got six arms and six legs. A lot more dexterous, they are."
"But only three half-brains to control the lot," Des adds in, grinning.
All three of us turn to glare at the boys. IDIOTS. Dx
"Hey, I think that's a boat, guys," Chibi-bunni exclaims. She swims over to a wooden post, clutching on to it before squinting off into the distance. We all crowd around, clinging to the wooden boards of the port.
"It...doesn't exactly look safe," Yunsi says. "Doesn't it look a bit...crazy to you guys?" ^^;
Now that she points it out, it does. Kind of crooked, can't sail straight...it looks a tad bit drunk.
"It had too much whiskey," I state matter-of-factly. Fae looks at me oddly.
"No, you've had too much whiskey."
Despite the warnings, however, we all make our way to the boat. We're able to swim, having built up our muscles from all that swimming beforehand, after all.
"Wait up, guys! I'm tired!"
Or not. :C
The wreck of a large ship creaks before us, rocking slightly with the waves. Strangely enough, it doesn't seem to be moving at all now. The wind is still, but a heavy canvas of sail flutters overhead, startling a seabird perched on the mast. The bird's cry pierces through the eerie silence.
"Should we get on?" Yunsi asks brightly.
We all eye it hesitantly. Then, YYugi grabs hold of a loose rope, pulling himself up. Fae and Chibi-bunni follow. A little while, I grab on, and the rest of us follow.
The first of us to get to the rope are almost up to the top when the rope starts moving.
"Whoa!"
"Hey, stop moving up there!"
"I'm not!" D=
"Why are we going up?"
"Yo, whoever's up there, keep pulling us! Yeah that's it!"
"Stop asking them! They could be evil people!" >.> <.<
"Pssah! I don't wanna climb anymore. Pull us up, pull us up!"
We all clamber up, peering around. The coil of rope is neat and tidy on the deck, but no one is there.
"Erm, hello?"
The voice that greets us makes us shiver.
"Welcome aboard, mateyssss..."
