To My Clumsy Spy:
Your story was very amusing. I did see you, as you guessed, and was rather disappointed that you didn't decide to wear the hat. However, your acknowledgement of me did make up for it.
I didn't ever think that you would come up with such an idea to spy at me behind a hat. I do believe I would still have recognized you, wide brim straw hat or no. Perhaps you're not clumsy, it may have been horrible luck that ruined the moment. That usually accounts for clumsiness, you know.
It did surprise me that you managed to catch a glimpse of me. It never crossed my mind that you could even see my back. I never really thought much of hiding until you mentioned that you couldn't see me, you know. I have now lost half of my intrigue. Hopefully, my face and my voice will still remain a mystery.
But while you can't guess what I sound like, I've come up with a voice for you. It's happy and lilting...bubbly and smiley, if that could describe a person's voice rather than their personality. If you were on this bridge right now, with the daily market surrounding you, your laugh would probably tinkle, then float.
I sound like a hopeless romantic. I do believe that if I seal this letter away now, I still have time to deliver this and come back to see you pass by.

To My Still Intriguing Figure on the Bridge:
I couldn't help but reply to your name that you made for yourself. While you aren't a silhouette, you are still just as mysterious as you ever were. It brings up still more questions. It's as if for every answer I get, I have to make at least two more questions.
I don't know which is a worse case: horrible luck or clumsiness. But neither will keep me from being clumsy, will it?
The way you describe my voice makes me sigh so wistfully. Indeed, you are a hopeless romantic. I'm much quieter and shy than that. It just seems that with pen and paper, it's easier to talk.
Oh! I forgot! Enclosed is one of my hairpins that flew away. A small...gift, of sorts.
