To my Dear Friend Who Waits on the Bridge:
See how I have changed the word from friend to stranger? I think I have considered you as a friend for awhile, but I never thought of it too deeply. I suppose that now you have pointed it out, it makes sense to consider the thought. I find that I like it, being your friend. There's just so much about you.
I still am curious about who you are. I wish to know your name, but it does seem like so much more fun to guess. I am quite undecided as to whether I want to play this game or find out your name, but because the fun can last much longer and because you prefer it, I think I shall settle on playing the game.
You are right: I cannot recall that memory in any other way then embarrassment. Even right now I grow flustered, and a small smile creeps up on me. Perhaps I should have taped the pin into the letter; it seems like it would have been extremely easy to lose. Clumsiness, again, on my part. Do I ever escape from it?
A gift? I am most delightfully surprised. Deep in my heart, I wouldn't refuse, but as common courtesy: There's no need to give me anything! There, now that that's out of the way, I can say that I am deeply intrigued as to this picture. I didn't know that you draw, but then, I don't know much about you at all, do I? I cannot wait for this little gift, and you can be assured that I will be very happy to recieve it! I never could resist a gift. I'll just smile...and take it. Gratefully, of course.
I hope we do not get in the habit of exchanging gifts with every letter. Of course, I am selfish, and I do not wish for any of us to waste money on postage or gifts. For me, just seeing your words on paper is enough, and I treasure them in the chest at the end of my bed.
Speaking of bed, I must go snuggle in it now. It calls to me rather persuadingly. Good night, and I cannot wait to get your gift!

I forgot completely about the gift until yunsi mentioned it. *gonk* Thus, I could not put his reply, and so I must go finish it so you can all see it tomorrow!
