After the embarrassing trip to the lake, I decided to go to the casino. I hear that there's a lot of activity there, and it sounded a little fun. Upon arriving in Gaia, I was given 10 tokens, and through exploration, I now had 60. The "jingle-jingle" in my pocket made me walk with confidence up to the black-jack table. First impressions, I think, are very important. The dealer didn't seem to give a good one. His first words to me were, "I'm going to use all my powers to make sure I win!" Well, that sure didn't make me feel too good. First hand... I lost. Nice way to start off! Second, third, and fourth hand. All of them went by without me winning a thing. He sure made it worse with that cocky smile every hand we played. He was better than me, and he knew it. The next hand. Ace and a Nine. Yes, this one was mine! Sure enough, I won! My first win was quite a good feeling. Especially that look the dealer gave. It made me feel great. Another hand proved me well too. Two wins in a row. Yeah, I've got it now. Well, to my misfortune, the rest of my tokens went by fast. Too fast in fact. To make a long story short, I came with 60 tokens, and left with 20. Wearily, I went and cashed them in. How depressing. First the bad fishing day, now this! Gaia doesn't seem like the place for me. I think I'm going to pack up my things, and head out...

Well nuts. The poor guy. He's just not having any luck at all. I had a talk with him. I still don't understand this "Black-Jack" but it seems like you were always going to loose. I told him not to worry about it. I cheered him up by telling him that he had a quest to take. It sounded neat, and he looked interested. I think he needed to meet the people behind Gaia. I was sure they'd show him some hospitality. It looks like he might stay here a little longer. That's good.
Hey, things don't seem to be going well for Kovu. It would sure help out a lot if anyone out there could cheer him. He hasn't a friend in the world except for me. If things don't improve, I fear he well leave. Post comments, ask questions, or just talk to him here. Say anything you want. It would help. Thank you.
