I was reminded (not so recently anymore... oops) that I have this here journal and I have not updated in a long, long time. So here's the short version of the list of updates in my life.
No longer in college. Lost my scholarships due to that whole 'failing' thing. Oops again. Now I get to pay back the loans (about $20,000 total between four different loans). Fun, fun, fun.
I work for the USPS now. I don't even have to deal with customers! I'm data entry, so I just key the mail through which the computers can't read. Nice job for nice pay. 3nodding
Sis is doing better. She had a breakdown a good while back and has been recovering since. Well, honestly the breakdown had more to do with us finding out how she really felt due to her own journal here on Gaia (Mom got ahold of it and sent her to get help). We still fight pretty badly sometimes, but I think our relationship has gotten a little bit better, at least. Due to my work and money issues, I don't get to see her as often as I'd like to, though.
I'm eating healthier now. Not a diet, exactly, but I've lost weight on it. I'm just trying to cut down on fast foods and soda and the like. A few organics (soynuts rock!) and lots of veggies and I'm set. I can't even begin to express the amount of tea I drink each day. I'm addicted! ...I should really learn not to drink any the hour before I leave for work, though. I hate public restrooms. burning_eyes
I keep going into my overdraft. My car broke down (among many, many issues I faced in that day alone) and took all the money I had left in the bank, and now I'm just fighting those overdraft fees to get back on my feet. With any luck, I'll get there by my birthday at the end of this month. Part of my faith in that is that I usually manage to get around $150 in b-day money, as the regular amount. Well, not counting the $100 I usually get from Mom because this year I'll be getting a special gift from her. It's my 21st birthday this year, and she'll be paying to get my last name changed! I've wanted this for YEARS, but just never got around to it for several reasons (funding and time, mostly, mixed with a little not knowing what the ---- to do). I'm very much looking forward to this.
Well, that's about it. I'll try to remember to update this thing more often. If nothing else, a few of you could come here to kill time when I remember. sweatdrop
