At this very moment, I'm actually a bit tired and bored, but I can't get enough rest or go back to sleep. Last night at work was hectic. If Heather (my coworker who was the only other worker there last night with me) hadn't brought her husband and son along, and both of them help us to get things done last night, we'd have been there for about two hours after closing because we didn't get anything of that sort done during work hours. We were busy making sandwiches the whole time. Three hours of work before closing time, and all I did aside from making sandwiches was about 15 minutes of work.
INCLUDED in all that was the worst customer I've had yet; a family of 5 came in and ordered their sandwiches after another person's order, and several people came in after them. Immediately after them. 15 minutes later, we're on their last sandwich and he's complaining that he needs to be somewhere and it shouldn't take us this long. Only two of us working there, and he thinks 15 is a bad time. rolleyes Anyways, he starts asking for a refund. We give him his last sandwich instead. He leaves. 15 minutes roll by, and he's BACK. Even being in suuuuuuuch a big hurry, he can turn around and complain that we messed up his order by putting black olives on ONE of the sandwiches. He wants a refund on ALL of them. He won't give us time to de-garbage the papers on which his order was written so we could double check, as we were both certain we got the order correct. So... we refund his entire order, but keep the sandwiches. No free meals. Ha! Anyways... whee
We finally dig up his order papers after he left, and found out we had every last sandwich correct. stressed So now we had to call the boss and let her know what happened, as well as take a few more orders because more people were coming in. Tra-la-la, and night over.
Then I get home and find out that two of Dad's female friends are staying the night (although in reality one cancelled last-second, so it was just one of them staying) and are sleeping in his bed... because he's going to be at his dad's house. In short, he's leaving us behind closed doors with people who are strangers to us and expecting us to sleep there. Above that, sis had already seen them and informed me that they were both drunk. And weren't going to be coming until late (past-midnight late). So I went to sleep and asked to be woken when they showed up. At about 1:30 am I have sis waking me up... not just because they're here, but because that one had to leave and the other wants a pack of cigarettes and the only person who can drive her there is ME. If I don't drive her, she's walking and (because she's so drunk and an easy target) sis is insisting on going with her. Without me. Let me sleep. So I get up and we get done getting her cigarettes at 2am. Then I TRY to get out of her circle of conversation so I can get back to sleep. Why so intent on sleep? Because in just a few minutes from now I have to get ready and go meet a friend from school for a study-buddy thing for a test I have on Monday.
Why do I need her study group so badly? Because I have NO BOOK because Dad's sooooo broke (even though he just left to take that girl with her hangover to a fairly decent restaraunt) that he can't help me get my school books so I don't FAIL before he gets entertainment for the night. Oh, and my paycheck doesn't cover it. After gas is taken out, this week's paycheck was only $5. Just got the check last night. Gas money, and $5 to go to school books. Out of $450 needed. Still. Since school started about three or four weeks ago. mad
Gyah... I'll shut up now. Mostly because I have to go.
PS: To be honest, I copy-and-pasted this message from a PM I just sent... So I wouldn't have to type it all again. 3nodding Anyways, I hope you're all having a better time than I! heart Ciao!
