One of my roommates invited me to have dinner with her and her friend again and this time I accepted and it was uber yummy, even though at the start I was scared out of my mind for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that I dont really know her or her friend and they spoke in chinese the entire time they were cooking and I felt like a heel. After we actually sat down though it was way better we talked about home and school and everything and how the prices of greyhound vs taking the air plane had switched. And her friend kept on serving us the food, we had rice and fish and some little potatoe pancake type things and whenever we finished our little chunk of fish he would scoop up another piece and put it on our plates. It kind of shocked me the first time.
And then at the end my roommate wouldnt let me help her clean up so once again I was left feeling like a heel so I went back and hid out in my room. I think Ill share my icecream with her or ask her out to lunch or something one day just so she doesnt think Im a total disrespectful ... mean person or something because I was really touched that she did ask me for dinner.
