Have you ever just sat down
And thought for a second?
Have you thought about the past?
The present? The future?
Have you ever thought about life
And the joys it comes with?
The pain? The pleasures?
The new experiences?
When you fish,
Do you think about their deaths?
Or do you think of your survival
And that of those around you?
When you watch a sunset,
Do you see the chemicals?
Or do you see the colors?
The imagination? The world?
When you give a eulogy,
Do you talk about the now?
Or do you talk of then?
And the life that impacted yours?
Don’t you see?
Life is everywhere,
Waiting for you.
Go out and enjoy yours?
