Strange, horribly-written stories from the mind of Godii
Wolves of the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth - Part One
((I'm not sure about the name though. It's a story in progress, like everything else. I'd post my longest fantasy story, but I'm not sure about that yet...))

The air was cold and night fell upon the ongoing tundra of snow and ice. Moonlight lit the land and snow fell gently, resting on the ground and the snow-covered trees. Everything was silent and very peaceful.

"MARDIC!! MARDIC!"

"What is it now, Segegnai?" Mardic lifted his head up from his resting position. "The pack is quiet. Do not wake them. Especially the little ones." He smiled slightly as he pat one baby on its head and watched quietly as it shifted into a more comfortable position.

"The hunters have come," Segagnai replied, his eyes full of fear.

"They won't last in the freezing weather," Mardic said, standing up slowly and watched the entire clan sleep. "They won't be able to find us."

"That's true, yes. But-" Segagnai was interrupted by a rifle shot.

"They're trying to draw us out!" Mardic exclaimed, as the entire camp awoke.

"Mardic, what's going on?" One asked, standing up in surprise.

"It's the hunters, Jari. Round up the little ones."

"WE'LL FIND YOU! AND YOU WON'T BOTHER US ANY MORE, YOU DUMB OL' WOLVES!!" The hunters yelled out. "YOU TOO, MARDIC!

WE'LL GET YOU! YA HEAR THAT!?" The shoutings faded out, and the entire clan relaxed again. Mardic listened carefully.

"They're gone... for now," He announced, placing his hand on a nearby wolf infant. "But they'll be back, and we shall leave before dawn."

"Dawn!?" The wolves yelped. "We need our rest, Mardic!"

"You'll get it as soon as we get away from here," The human replied, sitting down next to the Alpha male of the pack. "But for now, it's better to be tired and cold instead of being dead. Don't you think?" Although he was partly leader of the pack, he was only 16 years old. The wolves went quiet and nodded one by one. Most had already gone to sleep.

"Segegnai, I need you to be on the look out," Mardic sighed. "Just in case..." Segagnai nodded his head.

((Pronounciations: Every thing's just how they sound... if there's anything that's difficult, I'll be sure to mention it.
Part One: I know it's short, but I don't have chapters or anything. I haven't gotten far with the story enough to make chapters... and fantasy chapters are usually long anyway... right?))
