Confessions of Psychobabble
Most likely all of this is just a jumble of crap. It's fun for me to write and usually a stress relief-yay! that makes me LESS of a neurotic!
OH YEAH...duh
Yes. DUH. Since I'm doing my NaNo I decided to subject you to the pain of my UBER AWESOMENESS.

Feel the pain. The agony. THE PROLOGUE

Prologue

From the moment the vase had broken, she had always carried a piece of it with her.

Adelaide Halstein was a woman of many faces, and no one being that resided within her life was prone to knowing more than two of them. Even those she trusted enough to share an intimate detail of her life, perhaps ask a lone piece of advice…they had no idea. Though it was within her power and her right to allow each person to believe they understood her by the shine in her almost wide-set hazel eyes…or the smile that emerged occasionally from her too-full painted lips. All they knew was deception, for this was just how Adelaide liked things.

The fairy-tale castle by the sea, barricaded by the rocky cliffs that had been woven by the magic of the few hire-able sages of the day had become her summer home. Limestone of four feet thick wove about the exterior of the castle, swinging wide and pinching nearly 360 degrees for each of its five spires...all standing taller than the rest of the castle, stretched toward the sky in defiance of the world. Many treasures were hidden within the walls of each of the spires, and in the sealed dungeons below. Only two men for each spire had been allowed to know its secrets for long enough to transport its contents into the dungeon. They had been the only living artifacts sealed within its crevices.

The dream. Her dreams were always vivid, but never placid. She opened her eyes to the revolting shaking, the hands at her shoulders that threw her back and forth her head jolting and snapping as she tried to regain herself and push the figure away. The face began to clear before her within a moment and at her glance of the piercing unreadable green eyes she found herself tipping backwards and falling away into the abyss. Down the rabbit hole. She felt the winds as they swarmed about her body, finding them piercing her naked form with painful accuracy, though it being the only material against which she could slow her descent. A tunnel seemed to materialize above and below her; she did not turn fast enough to notice how near she was to its bottom as her body impacted with a material that enveloped her and took shape about her in a manner which she so despised. The crunch of bone and tear of skin filled her ears and her mind screamed out, mouth wide and head tilted as if to writhe in pain though without the physical ability to do so. Warm blood began to fill her mouth and throat, swarming her and clogging her throat and her breathing; with each rasp she saw the blood spew from her mouth as if man-made rain from a sky of crimson…as it splattered down below onto her body, smacking her eyes with resilience and burning that sickened her. Light flashed and faded above, the vision she held becoming spotted and pained as the substance about her began to envelope her torn body in a hearty embrace, and again she was gone.

The last paragraph owns. You wrote something descriptive enough without having to say, "She fell, and it hurt a lot" once.

...or something to that effect. XP
