My thoughts on "Normality"
Quite frankly, many people think normality is simple, but they could not be more wrong. Normality is as complex as the people who think about it. Normality is defined as "conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural", and that may sum it up nicely for most people, but those people need to dig deeper. What is culturally accepted, is most often considered normal, but different things are accepted in different cultures. We think cultures like Aborigines or Native Africans are strange and abnormal, but they most likely think the same about us. They tend to live off the land and fend for themselves, while we live in a life of comfort. Normality cannot have a set definition. What one person considers normal, another person may consider strange. Normality, like so many other things in this world, is all about perspective
