I closed the back storage/ receiving room tonight.
It was a lot or well..it felt like a lot.
- Pulled replen with *help of co-worker* ( Replenishments ) to fill empty shelves/ area of our sales floor with merchandise. 3 sections worth. Hunting, Marine & Fishing. Rough guess between. 150 - 175 items.
- That replen filled two container pallets full ( 2 BCP's - Black Container Pallets ) which I pulled the first one with our forklift to our downstairs area my co-worker got the second one while I was on break. Downstairs everything gets sorted to its areas to go to the floor.
- Co-worker did back-stock ( putting merchandise into storage locations ) I ended up sorting items downstairs.
- After co-worker's shift was over I started night work I needed to do.
1) Sort & Back-Stock. ( Putting big items into our downstairs shelving location's storage )
2) Move all still packaged palletized clothes over to our clothing area to let them start sorting everything out into the clothing types.
3) Stack & Wrap a full pallet of shipping totes an put them on our storage trailer that goes back to our merchandise shipping distributor.
4) Stack & Organize our storage isle area where big items go into storage with a forklift. ( I stacked a pallet of 8 grills *4 to a pallet* on top of another an a pallet of hunting tree stands on top of another. )
5) Put out around 11 or 12 bags ( 20 lbs bags ) of salt lick mineral to our sales floor in its area stacked on a floor display.
6) Put all empty grocery carts we use in one area all together to keep them organized an out of the way. ***Tonight it was around 20 of them.
*** Lastly ***
6) Closing Duties, Dust-Mop the backroom's floor, Empty all trash, Close down an lock all powered equipment an make sure our backroom keys are in their secure area.
Clock-out & Go home.....I drive 30-ish miles to work an 30 miles home.
