Medical Procedure
I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy on Tuesday. The prep for it was the WORST! I was saying that I wasn't going to do another one for years. But then, the doctor and nurses told me they found 9 polyps in my intestines that they had removed. I had sore stomach and was tired and out of it for a day or so. But the pain has mostly gone now. They want me to come back on Nov 11th for another colonoscopy and they gave me an info sheet about polyps. Apparently, I'm at a higher risk for developing cancer. So they want to check it regularly to make sure to catch anything early. I'm waiting to find out if the biopsies they did on them are benign or not. They probably are. I have to book an appointment with my GP in the next 2-3 weeks to find out. I don't know what causes them. Apparently there's a condition you can have where you're more prone to having your body grow them. My other family members might want to get checked as well, in case they have them and don't know. Though I suspect it's something that's come from my dad's side, as he always had gut problems as well, from what I remember.

I might have to reach out to one of his sisters, my aunts, in NZ and ask them about it. Also, today I had an appointment with the optometrist - the first since 2012! Which was the year the GMFC closed. That was 13 years ago so, naturally, my new prescription is much stronger now. But we are going to work up to it, since my eyes won't be able to handle the full strength of the prescription straight away. I didn't realise how blurry my vision was until all the eye tests today! When I wore the test lenses and looked out at the shopping centre, it was so clear and sharp! I can't wait to get new frames and lenses. It's going to be fun to update my look. After all, my face is a lot chubbier and rounder these days with this stupid weight gain.

Mum says I have to walk more. So I'm going to try taking imodium and going for walks, only eating once I get back home. Safer to have nothing in my stomach.

Today, I got to have a gluten free wrap at Subway and it was DELICIOUS! I haven't had one in years and I really enjoyed it. It was the chicken, bacon & ranch with lots of tasty salad. OMGosh, I want to eat more delicious foods! That was a good start.

I still have more things to try in order to fix this IBS issue. Diets to trial, that hypnosis app with pills, a castor oil wrap for my tummy, change of medication, and probably more.

Anyway, I look forward to the day when I'm well enough to easily keep up with my rps and be able to work on other things as well, such as my own version of a GMFC inspired rp shop, along with completing fanfics and writing eBooks. Oh, and improving my art skills. Looking forward to getting a desk in my little study/office so I can sit at my laptop there and draw there as well.

I got some trashy mags from the News Agents. That's Life and Take 5. They have shock stories and lots of fun puzzles in the back that you can win prizes with. I also bought a Twix bar and some more chocolate because mum ate the last of my chocolate the other night, lol. Not that I minded. Anyway, that's my update for now.

I am NOT keen on doing another prep for a follow up colonoscopy in November. But at least I have the holidays to look forward to afterwards...better safe than sorry. I don't want bowel cancer, either!

I just want to get well soon. The constant sickness and chronic fatigue are a lot to deal with and makes it hard to follow goals and dreams. But I keep a positive outlook and keep trying stuff till I get results.
