Been thinking about reusing my TSC characters in another universe. Honestly the fantasy2 one seems feasible.
Rethinking the ceremony of talents as well. Instead of doing a sorting hat type thing, basically young immortals do a performance / talent show of their skills in an effort to convince the elders of each clan to take them in. Usually with their chosen skill set it will be very obvious which clan they are best suited for (i.e. Annie talking to ghosts). In school prior to choosing a clan the young immortals should learn a bit about every clan and type of magic, so they should know what they like or are good at.
In the event more than one clan offers to take the immortal, they are given the freedom to choose. But this is very rare, usually for very talented individuals, and they will likely choose the most “coveted” clan that offers. Wizards and Sorcerers are the default light and dark magic clans respectively. That is, if no other clan offers, and they deem an immortal to have some vague inkling of magic skills, they will join the masses in the Wizard or Sorcerer clans. However, in the rare occasion, if an immortal possesses so such magical abilities, and is rejected by all clans, they are banished from the immortal world to the mortal world, where their lifespan becomes that of a mere human and they must live out their days as a regular boring human.
Annie - Necromancer, from her talking to ghosts thing. She does not dress like one of them (black, skulls, punk rock or goth vibe) and instead is a very cheerful and upbeat person despite dealing with dead people all the time
Nik - Sorcerer (?) hes kind of untalented in this universe, his main skill being beastmancy which isn’t super useful. But hey, he didn’t get kicked out to the mortal realm!
Yuki - a young and very talented Seer. So powerful that she doesn’t need a scrying object to guide her vision, they come to her in her sleep (which she hates).
Jace - a potioner, I will probably reduce his role in the story, I suppose he will just act as a guide or something when they enter the very tech advanced Potioner’s territory
Minhyuk - idk? I see him as either a Magician (temperamental magic skills, causing trouble due to his attitude and outbursts) or a Lurker (I want to be in the spotlight but sadly I’m forced to be in the shadows!)
Erin - summoner, of course, but a very untalented one. Alice from the original series will be her mentor, meaning the events of this book comes after the original fantasy plot line
