I inhaled deeply, enjoying the warm rays of sun settling on my skin. The scent of freshly baked rolls from the food stalls mingled with the floral tinge from the potions tents. The market was busy as usual, with immortals from all parts of the world chattering and laughing amongst themselves. Cloaks and capes of all colours were present, the movement of the crowds emulating a shifting, prismatic rainbow. Neutral grounds. Where all members of society - regardless of immortal status, of clan, of alignment - came to run their errands.
I watched as a pair of crows circled above, before they took a dive and swooped past dangerously close to my face. The gust of air was enough to knock my cloak's hood onto my shoulders.
"Very funny," I chided, "You can come out now."
