The Ar'Calon Trilogy
Tower Of The Smog
Chapter 1: The vastness
The desert of Ar'Calon, The most vast area on the continent of mesmera.
On the dunes, the only thing you can see his a sea of sand and the blue sky above.
There are few citys within the desert, but I will not stray off to talk about the
great citys at this time, for this is not the story of the poison city,
but the tower of smog.The main inhabitents of the desert are the Humans of course,
alongside another race called the verar'deas. These creatures, the Verar'deas,
are the most putride creatures you will ever meet. they are nearly 8 feet tall,
with scaley red skin. They have four arms, and an ugly little smashed up nose,
that probably prevents them from smelling themselves. They are very intelligent, to a point.
they engineer huge machines, mostly for killing humans, they find the humans invaders to their land.
Now, onward we go, onto the adventure of a few young adventurers pushing on to an unimaginable secret.
The small specks of light danced gracefuly across Desecks face through holds in the old, torn up tent that hung above him.
It was once again day in the vast desert, though he and his group had managed to stuble across a small nomad camp that took
them in with a warm welcome. Desekc awoke, Rubbing his eyes and standing up. The tent was rather large, probably to acompany many people.
He walked to the other side of the tent and shook Demar, his brother. Demar rose with an angry grunt and walked over to their bags and started to pack them.
"We're going to need to get to the next town soon, We're running low on food." Deseck said, his feet padding lightly in the sand as he walked over to the flap of the tent and lifted it,
"We, we, we. I'm the one doing all the work here Deseck." Said Demar as he slowly rose with a large bag on his back.
" What do you expect me to do?"
"Nothing..." Said Demar as he slowly padded to the tent flap and walked outside into the center of the nomad camp.
It was rather large, there were tents of all sizes, shapes, and colors.
A large cooking pot sat bubbling over a fire in the center of camp, a few dark skined people were sitting around it, probably waiting for breakfast.
Deseck followed behind him with quick feet, Catching up to him quickly.
"Arn't we going to get some breakfast before leaving?" Asked Demar.
Deseck shook his head no.
"Well, we should still ask the people around the fire for directions..."Demar said after taking a few steps towards the fire.
" Fine." Deseck responded.
Deseck made his way over to the fire and sat down next to a man in a long, maroon robe.
" Do you know where we could find another camp or city?"Deseck asked the man.
The man looked him up and down in one quick glance. "Yes, If you go east, you will come to the poision city."
"Thank you, sir" Responded deseck, Already back with Demar.
