Things I wrote on 3/2/09:
The world was under a shadow,
Cast only by the moon above.
In the city that never sleeps,
A child cries.
At the end of the night,
When the sun rises,
It will all begin again,
A never ending cycle.

The shot echoed through the alleyways,
As the world spun in slow motion.
His hand shook as the weapon slowly fell from his trembling hands,
And her body hit the ground.
Papers flew in the wind as the fallen girl’s documents flew around the scene.
Only one caught his eye though, and it read her name.
He gave out a cry, his eyes wide.
He had killed the wrong girl.
