Well, it looks like 3 out of the five are bad, but two look fine.
3:42 PM- CONFIRMED LIFE! Brown egg heard (by mom) to be peeping. Also observed a pip in the egg.
It's 9:50 PM now, and no more signs of life. Breaking an egg is hard for a chick, and I suspect light may have something to do with it. The babies are probably sleeping. I'll check tomorrow.
In other news, Belinda came home yesterday. When I was at the coop, all she did was sit in one spot and hunker down. She had poo caked on her butt fluff too. So I took her home to watch over her. She seems alert, if not active. I think this one was a false alarm.
