Appearance: Michael stands at six feet tall, with an athletic build and deep blue eyes. His hair is cropped pretty short, and is the color of darkness [black]. Under his right eye lays a scar about the length of his eye, and he wears a ruby pendant on a silver chain at all times. Up the length of his right arm and trailing out into his upper torso is a tattoo that's looks blocky and like it belongs in part to some sort of machinery. The Runner wears a sleeveless white shirt with a red sash around his stomach, and white pants with two red belts strapped to his hips. On his feet the boy wears a pair of red shoes with stick rubber soles and flexible fabric. He wears a fingerless black glove with red band on his left wrist, while his right wrist and hand is wrapped in fighter's tape.
Background: All Runners come from somewhere on the planet, and like a few, Michael was born and raised in a large city on the west coast. He grew up with an immense hate for actually running, so any sport that involved the activity was scratched off of his list. He continued through High School studying the English Language and it's many uses, and playing on their Water Polo team. He attended one of the best universities in the United States, getting his Masters in Creative Writing, and his Bachelors in Business. Yet, right out of college he moved into the big city, run by Mayor Callaghan; the young boy saw how many citizens were unhappy, and he saw how nothing ever bad seemed to happen. The summer after Michael's relocation, almost exactly one year, the young university graduate came across one of the Runners while on a "date" atop his apartment complex with a young girl he had met at a Cafe. After having seen the Runner during one of his runs the young writer took it upon himself to find out what they did, and why they did it. In the Winter of that same year his research finally paid off and he found the Runner's purpose noble; it was something he felt he had to do; his civic duty. Shortly after, Michael began his training and became a Runner, meeting other Runners and learning the tricks of the trade.
Personality: Michael is a very happy kid who always keeps a bright outlook on life, no matter how bad the situation. This state of mind helps him keep flowing through the environment; his flow is also the reason he doesn't actually carry a weapon. He found that carrying any such weapon hampered his ability to flow with the environment, something Michael knew was essential to survivng. Even though he occassionally jokes around he is serious about his work, containing his sarcastic sense of humor for later when he can actually relax. The graduate is also trained well in Martial Arts, having learned his discipline from the many arts of combat he studied in his years living with his parents.
