Kayla is Roxanne's twin sister. At debut she wore buclothes and had brown hair. By now, her colour scheme has changed, but there have been no dramatic changes to th outifit. She wears a purple long-sleeve t-shirt, with a yellow star on the front, and plain purple trousers, a purple earflap hat that also has a yellow star on the front and one on eack flap, and rucksack.
Kayla is a mage character, who could become powerful if you took the time to raise her. As either an S or T type, her techniques remain almost the same, and none of her techniques level up into a more powerful form of that technique. Her most powerful normal technique is Symphony, and her first is Concerto.
If you take the time to explore the first room of each temple with as, you can find a door that is not openable by any other character (Like some eventa won't tigger unless you are a certain person) there will be a tiny room containing a treasure chest with a book in it, e.g. in the fire temple you find the Book of Flames. These books are armguards that are only equipable as Kayla E.G. Only Genis can equip Warlock Garb, but they don't boost any stats or make attacks elemental, although Kayla will gain a title for each book you find. When you find all eight, then she gets a ninth title.
All of this seems useless, but if you equip a book to Kayla, along with the title, and try to cast, while in overlimit, if you have all eight, then she'll use an elemental Hi-Ougi Technique. E.G. Armageddon Flame for fire.
Along with Roxanne, Kayla was carried 2000 years through time. The reason the story has changed so significantly, is as I created more and more OCs for ToS, most of which I only make for the fun of it and never use, I realised that there were a few characters I wanted to keep around, Kayla was my first ever ToS OC, shortly followed by Roxanne, and I wanted to use them again, so I started putting real thought into who they were, what they did, and why they did it.
Kayla casts using her staff. At first she clings to the oak-wood staff she recieved from her father, but it gets broken when she tries to fight someone. After that she gets a Hollywood Staff from... Someone I haven't decided yet, but a close friend of Kayla's.
She also has a "partner." Shiro is her white kitten, with a black star on his head, he helps her cast her mysterious transformation magic. If Roxanne joins your party before Kayla, (Will only happen if you go to Hima before Izoold, and say yes when the inn keeper asks you to look for the girl who was staying at the inn. Will decrease your friendship with Kratos and Raine, and Kayla's base friendship for you when she does join your party) thn you will get rid of Shiro because Roxanne says that the cat did strange things to her, which is why she is afraid of cats. Shiro is the key to Kayla's transformation magic. If raised as an S type then she will learn Fissure, Magnet, Roar, which will turn one member of your party into a Tiger for the remainder of the fight, in which form they will gain 100 strength points, but be unable to use any of their own techniques. Depending on which Lvl of techniques the character is up to, depends on the level of tiger techniques they learn. If raised as a T type then she will learn Fissure, Magnet, Mew, which turns one enemy on the battle field into a kitten, whereby they will lose 25% of their max stats, and have a delayed Tech Usage time. Although transformation spell appear on Kayla's Tech List, like Sheena's Summon Spirits the Tchs can only be used when she is in Overlimit, and once she has learnt one, there is no way to learn the other. Even if you cleared the game, carried the Techs over, and chose to raise Kayla as the opposite type, she would not carry over her Transform Tech.
As for any lovelife of Kayla's... It's undecided. There is a possibility she will get a crush on either Lloyd, Yuan or another OC.
Kayla's closest friend was the Chosen from her time, so she resents Colette for taking her friends place.
Kayla has a bad relationship with her sister. To be blunt, Kayla hates her, and when the two of them find themselves 2000 years in the futur, she leaves Roxanne to fnd for herself.
Her main personality trait is her love of books. The rucksack on her back contains several, and her family has always been known as the Bibliotecas, even though they are the Konnemaras, because they ran the library back when Hima was still a city.
Kayla's quite knowledgeable, and has a small amount of knowledge for several little known sujects. After what happened at the tower of salvation, she is trying to learn as much as she can about angels.
She's shy, and quite solemn. I have a feeling that she used to have a cheery nature, but not anymore.
She's an average cook. With three of four stars for each dish.
