what have you taken away?
a shadow of agony as emotions twist.
once we tasted bliss,
innocent and glad-hearted,
but your heart died.
a deadened fever of lies -
tears follow blood, follow pain,
love torn apart.
in a torrent of hate,
i still love you.

the night falls in a heavy, suffocating cloak, entwined are we.
the emotion for which you lust
flares once, then dies,
crushed by a velvet ebon nothingness.
all hope must surely perish.

your soul thrives no more.
how could you not understand?
demons surround us, crying,
sanctuary.
