The Disease
Darkness, Darkness all around,
Came swift without a sound,
Came to smother me in my sleep,
And forever my soul it shall keep.
Such a pain, it keeps, Aching,
In my dreams and in my waking,
Yet so dull, so dead, without feeling,
A wound so deep there is no Healing.
At my heart the pain,
Begins to gnaw 'till a crimson line it does draw,
This is the only feeling that i know,
Destruction is the crop i sow.
Ghost, a whisper in my ear,
Words that i now fear of kindness, love and meaning
All while not knowing how far I'm leaning.
"Insanity, insanity" I do cry,
While the world walks on by,
Finally i meet my end,
For death is my only friend!
Lord let it not be so
For i do not wish to let go
Please reclaim my soul
And fill this dark hole.
