Personality: Zane is one of those smart, constantly thinking types and tries not to bother others whenever possible. He's very kind hearted and tries to help others when he can and always comes to the aid of his teammates and his friends. His serious side comes into play when battle or responsibility comes into play and he always makes sure that the important things get done before everyone can relax.

Bio: Zane was born in the colony of Side 7 on September 18, UC 0058, the same one as current war hero Amuro Ray. However, his parents died in a house fire when he was young, luckily for him, he was at his Aunt and Uncle's house at the time. They later adopted him and raised them like their own, having once lost a child if their own in a car wreck just a few years before. Zane doesn't remember his parents, but he often carries a picture of them and often looks at it from time to time. When Zane was 10, his family went back to Earth hoping to start a better life. He was an excellent student and quickly graduated at an early age and used his talents at technology to work at a hospital part-time. It was on his 21st birthday that a group of rogue Zeon soldiers began to terrorize the town, heading towards the hospital that was full of civilians and some Earth Federation soldiers that had fought against these rogues. Zane, not wanting them to cause anymore damage to anyone, hijacked one of the Zaku's that belonged to the rogues and fought off the rest, nearly getting himself killed in the process.
It was then that the leader of the hurt Earth Federation soldiers noticed Zane's natural abilities with mobile suits and insisted him to join in the military. At first, he wanted to refuse, but he then realized that there were people that needed protection, something which his biological parents never had. So he inlisted, hoping to help bring an end to this war and to protect those who can't protect themselves. He was first put into a basic GM team, but he was later transfered to a newer mobile suit team known as the MS 08th Team where he would be piloting the new RX-79[G] Mass Production Gundam.
