Raindrops are falling
just out side your window
you can see them splashing
bouncing off the ground
diamonds hitting the sidewalk that we used to walk on
but that was so long ago
can you remember
when the sun last shone?
for so long we have seen this world
through a blackened veil of children's tears
I miss the sun
the light that once made me happy
has completely faded away now
were has my angel gone?
has my angel lost hope too?
I hope not
the warm air I once breathed
is now cold
wet
sorrow
it suffocates my spirit and smothers my hopes
and dreams and thoughts
of being happy
and seeing the sun
I wish the clouds would clear
I want to find a star to wish on
to reassure me
that I will see the sun again
