...Where...am I?
What?
What's going on...
Where am I?
Someone's voice...
Is someone there?
Where am I?
The dead... Am I dead?
What happened to Sarah...
WHERE AM I!?
I woke up yelling and sweating from the dream I was having. Slowly as my vision came back into focus I looked around the room I was in. It was a holding cell in the castle's prison... The metal jail bars were rusting and falling apart, but seemed sturdy enough to keep weaklings in. The jail door though, looked relatively new and the lock was reflecting a small bit off light from a small hole in the hallway wall. In the hall itself was several undead, pacing back and forth keeping a watch on my every move and me.
I lay my head back, damn it hurt... I'd never felt this kind of pain before. My entire head was aching, and it pulsed with every heartbeat only to increase the pain. I lay there for a moment and wondered what was going to happen... I was still alive, but a lot of good that did me. I had no weapons, I had no healing herbs or medicine, I didn't even have the mementos of my past... I crawled slowly to the back wall and hoisted myself up onto my feet. As I did this the blood rushed to my head and dazed me for a second, I leaned back into the wall for support so I didn't fall over.
As I looked at the bars that separated me from the inside of the castle I knew it wasn't as easy an escape as it looked. Slowly I bent down and picked up a small stone and threw it against the bars. Instantly electricity struck through it and it exploded into dust. I sighed softly to myself and tried to think of an escape plan. I still had to save Sarah... Who knows what could have happened to her now. Suddenly my head started to feel better, most of my wounds closed up and my dizzy spells stopped completely. Then, from inside my head I heard the roar of my dragon's soul. We had finally completely infused together into one being. I felt his power rush through my veins and I got a second wind. I looked up at the bars and shook my head though, I would wait for them to make the first move and just play along. I slumped against the wall and closed my eyes, slowly I fell back into sleep knowing my dragon was now protecting me.
