Each minute that passes, my heart misses you.
The clock never stops ticking, each second like two.
Minutes turn hours, and still your face I cant see.
I wonder if you are thinking of me.
There's only so much time in one day,
before I know it the sun's gone away.
Still I'm waiting, hoping you'll return.
But that horizon stays empty.. and my heart still yearns.
Eyes losing focus, with each passing day..
I told you I'd wait for you, and here's where I'll stay.
Days turn to weeks.. The breeze rustles my hair.
I look, hoping to see you.. but still you arent there.
Why have you stayed away so long?
Was it that I have done something wrong?
It's been so long now that I cant remember..
July? August? Or was it September?
Sadness creeps slowly into my heart..
I cannot stand to be apart!
I do not lose faith and here I will stay..
hoping you will come back one day.
No messenger comes to bring word of you..
I hope that you're safe.. And that's all I can do.
The sun continues to rise and then set,
my hands a bit shaky, my eyes a bit wet.
But I am drawn to you like a moth to a flame..
without you around just does not feel the same.
When you left, you said you'd be back the very next day..
but somehow time is keeping you away.
If just for a moment time would stop,
you here with me, my heart would drop.
I'd hug you tight, you'd whisper in my ear.
