Very, very short story; don't ask what inspired it, even I'm not sure.
"Heaven?"
The girl blinked, surprised by the sudden question, but she smiled at the boys persistent questioning, giving a light shrug in response.
"Yes, I believe in Heaven. Why?"
"Well..."
The boy began, hesitating whether or not to speak what he had been itching to ask.
"Most of your friends are either bi, gay, or lesbian, are they not?"
The girls smile merely widened.
"That they are."
"Then... How can you believe in Heaven?"
He finally asked, confusion lining his every word.
"Isn't it obvious?"
The girl asked in reply, amusement dancing in her voice.
"Just because I believe in it doesn't mean that I'm going there."
Now the boy was very confused.
"Does that mean you don't want to go to heaven?"
"If god cannot accept the people that I care for most - My friends - Then I say ******** heaven; I don't need it."
"So...."
The boy began, wondering if perhaps he should have even brought up the subject in the first place.
"You choose not to go to Heaven?"
She rolled her eyes.
"If you want to put it down to choices, then yes; Any place that won't accept my friends doesn't need me around, either."
