(The connection is very fuzzy and intermitten out here, so I hope this post goes through)
Sephiroth granted both Zack and I off-grounds priveliges for Wednesday, so Zack could take me monster-hunting! I still only have a sub-auto, so I don't do as much damage as Zack (but he's First Class!), but I still killed quite a few monsters.
...it feels weird to say that, now that I think about it. I kill something... I took it's life... even if it was some mutated animal, it was still living and I took that... >_< Now I see why Zack told me not to think about the battles too much. Just focus on the strategy, what mistakes I made, and what I can do better.

There were a few out-of-area monsters, but not enough to really note. I still put Custom Sweeper down because they're hard to find, and Shinra requires us to keep track of all mecha-types we defeat.
As it got darker and we were closer to Kalm, we ran into some of the local wolves. They're called "Kalm Fangs" around here. Their fur is a different color from Nibel Fangs, and they're a lot weaker... Zack said he was impressed with how quickly I took one down. ^_^ (that makes it all worth it to me!)
(Oh, don't go thinking we made it to Midgar in one day. With stops for quick breaks, we still had to set up camp. ^_^ I always liked camping out... especially because I got to share a tent with Zack! =^_^= He snores LOUDLY, but I don't mind. At least he's there. Besides, I got used to loud noises at night, having stayed in the barracks)
Anyway, we sold the organic salvage from the monsters (you won't think less of me if I say that finding useable parts from a freshly-killed carcass is absolutely disgusting, will you? =x), and combined that with the gil we found. Zack paid for the Inn with his SOLDIER card, and we're off-duty for the time being. There's a bar here, Zack's probably down there now, getting some I&I while I get some R&R. -_- I'd go too, but I really don't look like I'd pass for 21, and someone might recognize me. Kalm is a popular place for soldiers on leave to stay.
(I'm not sure if I want Zack to come back to the Inn tonight or not... If he doesn't he'll be drunk, and then he might... or I might.... but if he doesn't come back, that means he was with someone else. >_< I guess I do want him to come back... but Sephiroth would be mad either way, if he knew. Maybe I'll just go to bed while I still can.)
Tomorrow (well, today now... it's about 13:00 MST - Midgar Standard Time) we're heading to the Materia Shop to get me some more materia. I hope they have N-type... I like it better than Shinra's S-type materia. But this close, and in a town, I doubt they'd have N-type.
Hmm... being here in Kalm, I guess I'm almost a bit homesick. This place is MUCH smaller than Midgar... it's a lot more like Nibelheim, but still bigger than it.
I wonder how mom's doing...
Does Zack ever get homesick?
What about Sephiroth...? He doesn't seem like he would, but you never know. I sometimes get the feeling he keeps a lot of things to himself.
It's getting late... I should probably end this here, and hope Zack isn't too loud when he comes back. If he does. -_-
