Barack Obama won. I have rarely been prouder of my country.
It looks like Proposition 8 is going to pass in California, though. We've come a long way on race, but not on sexual orientation, apparently. It's a pity, because arguments against gay marriage essentially boil down to someone pointing and shrieking "f*****t! f*****t! f*****t!" over and over. neutral
I hope in forty years we're electing the first openly gay president of the US, and I can be one of those people who says, "I didn't think I'd live long enough to see this day."
