RECIPE TIME!!!
I have decided to start sharing some recipes, just one at a time. Of course, not many people will try it, but I don't care. Maybe something will come to your achtung!
Popovers
((Samething like a biscuit, but looks like a muffin))
-Makes eight
What you need for ingredients...
2 eggs - 1 cup of milk - 1 tablespoon of butter, metled or softened - 1 cup of flour - and 1/4 teaspoon of salt (and don't forget to use some butter or butter spray for the pans)
What you need for equipment...
muffin tin ((eight)) - a measuring cup - measuring spoons - small saucepan for melting butter if nessicary- mixer and bowl ((electric or not)) - a large spoon - plate or another bowl - and don't forget those oven mits!!
Now, 1 Preheat oven to 450 F & butter/spray muffin tin.
2 Mix ((beat)) eggs in the bowl until all yellow. Low speed for stiring milk, melted or softened butter, flour, and salt and beat just until the mixture looks like cream. But don't over beat!!!
3 Use large spoon and fill muffin tin with mixture and back for about 20 mintues. Then turn down the heat at 350 F and bake 15 to 20 mintues longer until popovers are nicely brown and crisp and tops have puffed way up.
4 Remove the miffin tin ((with the oven mitts of course!!)) and get the plate. Tip the muffin tin on its side and let the popovers fall out, and if any are stuck, just slightly pull off.
5 Serve ASAP with butter and/or jam and enjoy!!
((If your popovers didn't rise, they are still good to eat, but next time it might help to put in a couple of pinches of baking power.))
