As you walk away I watch in tears,
my greatest fears happening before me
my pleas falling on deaf ears
as you never look back

left alone again in the dark
watching all of my dreams follow your depart
Eyes fade to nothing
mind slowly muddling
breath quietly fading

Staring, glaring, straight ahead
straining to see if you'll keep to anything you said
Knowing deep in the remains of my soul
your never coming home

My memories of you are fading so slowly
like vines rolling up the side of a home
I wish to chase after you,
But I know it' be rude

All I can do is sit here
just for the sake of what we had
until I've given up
and fade away from existence

Then we can be together, just you and me...
because is a promise no matter what you see
you have no idea how much it means to me
That one day for you I will stand on one knee
and offer you all I have left

You have no idea how much your love means to me
I sit and smile my cracked smile for as long as I can hold
so perhaps you will love me too
