Yeah I know, it's been a while since I had made a journal entry. xp But yeah a ton of things have happened in the past few months. First off I finish my first year of college! WHOO THREE MORE YEARS TO GO!!!!! xp sweatdrop So right now I'm just kicking back and working full time to help pay for my BRAND NEW CAR!!!! Yup I got a new car but I'll get to that story later... whee
Anyways of course I went to the Anime Expo in beautiful (and far) Long Beach, CA! All of my friends went and we even got a hotel together. Aldo, Kevin, Cindy, Kharla, and Billy were all in the room with us and we just had a blast!!! Yup four days of no food, not enough beds, and walking across a HUGE a** BRIDGE just to get to the convention center. xp But we really did have a good time and it was fun being on our own. And we all cosplayed of course. I went as Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicle and my costume came out so totally awesome. It took me a week and a half of sleepless nights but it was all well worth it cause I have never had so many pictures taken of me in my LIFE!!! mrgreen I'm just really proud of out my costume came out, especially when I had zero sewing experience, I had to make all of the patterns by myself! stressed (Once I get a good picture of it I'll put it in my journal). Anyways it was really great, I got to see Jhonny Young Bosh (the totally hot guy that does the voice of Vash from Trigun) at the AX Idol auditions (I didn't make it but I'm totally going again for next year), I made new friends, sang karaoke at 3 in the morning, and just had an absolute blast! I can't wait till next year!!!!!
One bad thing about Anime Expo 2008 is that they want to have it at the LA convention center. xp That is just SCREAMING someone getting shot or raped (especially with anime people in costumes). So I'm spreading around a petition (it wasn't made by me) but it's going to be sent to SPJA (the people who put on Anime Expo) so that we could relocate the convention. I would love to have it in Anahiem like it normally was or even in Long Beach again, but please take the time to sign it (the link to it is in my siggy). Thanks a bunch! xd blaugh
So now... about my car. I had a 10 year old dodge stratus and I had some work done on it a week before the expo because the engine kept on smoking. Well when I was coming back from Long Beach to drop off Kharla at her house my engine caught fire!!! It was the scariest thing ever! I was able to put it out but my engine got damage and since the car is so old my insurance wouldn't take care of it and it's hard and expensive to repair the parts for it. So I bought a new car! I got a new 07 VW beatle, a car I've always wanted and I got it in my favorite color....BLUE!!! So yeah it's such an awesome car and I really love it! I guess God works in mysterious ways.
Anyways that's about it for what's going on in my life. Summer school is going to be starting in two weeks so I can get ahead in credits and such. Well I'll try to write sooner for anyone who actually reads this thing. Anyways thanks for reading and until then.......NIKORI OUT!!!!! xd
