This story is ;long so if you read it, it might take some time
Grasping her arm he pulled her close to his warm body. The police scurried by with their guns drawn and ready to shoot the first thing that moves. Tanya with her long golden hair and her slim body seemed as fragile as a newborn baby. She turned to look at the man who just rescued her from a treacherous fate.
Tall and slender with his almost black, brown hair dangling down into his face as to hide his masculinity from the crowds of society. He wore all black and a trench coat that would disguise his ninja like abilities. Under the over coat Tanya caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a gun that hung from his waist to his knees. Tanya backed away and was ready to run. “Who are you?” she asked trying not to show the darkened fear in her eyes. “Does that matter, Miss Tanya?” the tall man replied. His voice shuddered down her spine like death was blowing its frozen breath across the back of her neck. Shivers swept over her body.
Tanya straightened up and started to say “yes it doe…” but was rudely interrupted by the man wrapping his arms around her and jumping to the top of the building they had just stood by. Mob members now crowded the area that they once stood. The tall man let her go. Being released from the captivity of his arms, Tanya turned and shot him an evil glare and asked again, “who the hell are you?”
Slowing tying his hair back, he revealed his full face to her. “I was sent to protect you”. Tanya fell to her knees. She looked up at the man and said “why?”
Tanya lowered her head as a few drops of water ran down her cheeks and splattered against the cement rooftop.
At that moment the eyes of the man went soft like a buds first and only bloom. He knelt down and gently placed his hand under her chin and lifted it. They only gazed into each other’s souls for but a moment. Tanya’s heart felt like it took a road trip to her throat. She swallowed.
“Miss Tanya, if you must know, the people who are after you either wants to kill you or hold you for ransom. The police, mobs and even regular citizens will be after you. Don’t trust anyone”. The man told Tanya studying her position. Tanya’s pupils went narrow. Her eyes still red from crying, she asked yet once again “who are you?” Her voice trembled like the rest of her body.
The man stood up and dazed off into the sunset and thought to himself. Everyone who knows anything about this young woman will be after her, will want to kill her or maybe even worse. All because of her father, because of what he put in her. The Devils Fang.
He looked back at Tanya. She was shivering with both fear and the cold. The man took off his coat and placed it around her shoulders. Tanya accepted the coat but didn’t bother to say “thank you” or give a thanking gesture. Not that the man cared. He just stood there and studied her features. She was nineteen and was wearing a white tank top with jeans. Not something you would find a high corporate daughter wearing.
The man grabbed his gun and fired two shots faster then Tanya could look. Tanya quickly got to her feet and yelled at the mysterious man, “what was that for?” He grabbed Tanya and his coat jumped on four other buildings before stopping. When they landed Tanya pushed herself away from his arms. Two ambulances’ went by with their alarms sounding.
She stood up and glared at the man. He just gave her a small smirk and turned around. Tanya walked over to him and questioned the man “who are you? What are you doing here? And who sent you?”
The man just watched the anger flow out of her face and calmly replied “I am here to protect you and the Devil’s Fang. Your father sent me to see that you didn’t get hurt after some top secrete information was slipped to the press”.
Tanya watched the man’s mouth move but couldn’t say any thing back it was like she lost her voice to the shadows beyond the fourth door. He continued, “The ‘tops secrete’ information was you. After you where born your father put a very rare diamond in your chest. That diamond is said to hold the worlds largest power and whom ever posses it can do anything” His voice went low.
Looking down at her chest. Tanya noticed a scare scraping from one side to the other. She looked up at the man and whispered out the word “why?” The man continued yet again, “I don’t know all the details but I suppose that your father thought that it would be best in the hands of someone innocent. He trusted it to you.”
From a far distance the man saw a flash of light. He quickly flung his trench coat around Tanya and jerked her close to his body. Tanya could smell his after-shave. As they flew through the air, Tanya noticed that the sun was just heading down for its daily nap. She tightened her grip on the man as they came down for a landing. In front the Butterfly Inn is where they now stood.
