ok I just read an interesting article about depression. didi you know that most of the teens today are only acting depressed to fit in with the emo kids. I can't believe it. Now the troubled soul is a good thing to be. It is all because of the media. And celebs. The more troubled the celeb the more attention they get. I'm not one for censorship or anything like that, but it is not the worlds business to know what their troubles are. It really does have a powerful influence on kids wether or not society likes it. Once upon a time the troubled kids were the odd ones out and now everyone wants to be a troubled soul. No matter what no one has a true identity any more. It is sad that kid can't be their own person, I know that there are some true followers to the emo bands and there really are depressed kids out there, but most of them are your a-typicale wanna-be. Just like with the preps and every other lable out there. So I challenge each and every one of you to be your self and not conform to what is cool. At the risk of sounding like an after school special, it really is cool to have your own opinion and to step away from the crowed. I will be honest, I do not go along with everything and I do not do everything my friends do, but I do like to fit in and not stand out, and that is okay because I am content, not happy but content, with who I am now. There are things I would like to change about myself just like everyone, but there is time and it is never to late.
