-Guide to Endowments-

Just another Day...
Nothing interesting happend while on my daily journies.

Another day in the life of a Semi-Imortal Elf.
Ugh... After another wonderful day in the Lost Time Tavern and Inn, my new stomping grounds, I took off for another one of my random walks. This time I ended up in a small town called Straford Glen. Seems they were having a small bandit problem. A few days earlier a group of about twelve men came into the town demanding the villagers pay protection money. No one was willing to do it so, the men kidnaped some of the children. The village had now idea what to do by my observation. I need some training anyways so, I headed out to where the bandit where thought to be staying... and they weren't. What was there was an a Red Dragon youngling. It seems the story was just lie and they were sending men into the den as a way to keep the dragon from destroying the village as well as collect on the poor adventurer's equpiment. I guess they didn't expect a 325 year old Elven warrior to show up. I dispatched the dragon, returned to the village, and chastised them. After they got their slap on the wrist I left. And now I head back to the Tavern.

Personal History
Woo~ I guess I'll tell you guys about myself and the things that have happened thus far but, that's going to take awhile...Eh, not really I'll just cut out all the boring stuff. Well It all started back in Yuri 17, I was born in Koguryo a large city in Japan... Well ancient Japan if you conceder my age. I guess you could say I was upper middle class. I wasn't very popular and to tell you the truth my people skills were lacking. I spent most of my younger years training as a warrior. One day I was contemplating (Bashing my skull into a wall) why my master was so rough with me when a young man came up to me and asked me why I was "contemplating" so hard. I told him about the quest my master gave me, to kill and demon named Sute. He then began to "contemplate" the same quest his master gave him. A friendship was born. He was called Reno Takamashi of the neighboring village Buya. He was studying in the school of Magic there. We decided to team up and take on Sute. I was an easy battle as a team; my fighting ability and his Magic, Sute had no chance. We continued on many adventures together in Ancient Japan. One of our journeys lead us the mythic land of the dragon lords. The battles we faced were harsh and unforgiving; many friends were lost as we traveled deeper into the depths of their realm. Only Reno and I remained to meet the Dragon God. As a reward for meeting the dragon god, we were given his blessing. His blessing changed our lives for the better or worse depending on how you look at it. It was the blessing of Eternal Youth and Space Shifting. We would never age or be affected by disease but we could still die from fatal wounds or drowning, things of that nature. We could also shift to other realms and worlds in seconds. Soon we were the most powerful warriors in all of Japan, second only to the Ancients and gods.
It was time to move on. So, Reno and I packed up and made the trip to Europe in hopes of new adventure. There we found people surrounded by grief and turmoil. I think they called it the "Dark Ages". We also found People to be Much stronger than we were. I was amazing, only years before we were almost as strong as gods but here we were just "above-average" Commoners. Once again we took up arms against the forces of evil. Fighting Pirates, demons, and other creatures. Though in these land we didn't make much of a name for ourselves. After some time I grew bored of Europe and wanted to move on. Reno on the other hand wanted to stay awhile longer. I've had too much of Europe and decided to leave without Reno. We vowed to on day again fight side-by side and then I set off. I passed through many lands. Some I can't even remember the names of.
One of those lands was Vana'diel. Let me tell you, that was an interesting place. I ran into whole new species of humanoids There I studied the arts of Summoning, Ninjas, the code of the bushido, hand-to-hand combat, magic, and the lance. It was most educational. I never perfected the arts but I did dwell deep enough in each to understand them at an advanced level. From there I moved on the Land of Aden. There I studied the ways of the lance and Spear with much more faith. I also dabbled in marksmanship and became quite proficient with a crossbow. By the time I left there I was high in the ranks of a well know clan. I also had a dragon mount but I left him in the care of a good friend. Now the interesting stuff or at least I think is interesting. I was traveling trough an area called Rofehavan. The land was buzzing with the news of an "Earth King" supposedly there wasn't one for over 2,000 years. So, I traveled north into the territory of King Gaborn Val Orden, The Earth King, and was picked up by the royal guards. They thought I was an assassin sent by a man named Raj Ahten. These men fought like no one I've ever faced before. Their speed and strength blew my mind. I was able to dispatch 3 out of the eight guards before I was rendered unconscious. I awoke to the voice of a young man, 20's or so by my guess. It was the voice of the Earth King. He was impressed by my fighting skills. He told me that he had never seen an ordinary man, (heh, ordinary), with no Endowments defeat force soldiers. I was unsure what he was talking about. I told him my story and he told me about endowments and his current situation with Raj Ahten and these creatures known as Reavers. My first experience with a reaver was during a hunt. We traveled into a cave and were attacked by 14 of the vile creatures. Many of the men with us perished. They didn't seem as bad as I was told them to be but then again I wasn't an "Ordinary" man. We returned to the castle with the head of the Reaver mage. To bad I wasn't the one to take it's head but you can't win them all. Lord Gaborn was again impressed with my skill and he asked me to join him. I was looking for a little fun so I gladly agreed. He then did something new to me. He "Chose" me. Supposedly if I were ever in danger he would warn me, no matter where I was. As a gift I received a Force Horse, one that had taken two endowments of metabolism, one of brawn, one of stamina, and one of grace. I myself was asked to receive endowments from many people. I felt it wrong to take away someone's life, not kill them but cripple them to the point that they can no longer live normal lives. But I couldn't stay away from endowments for long, just like Lord Gaborn. We were to travel to castle Carris to face Raj Ahten. It was going to be a battle of epic proportions. I wasn't as knowledgeable in the ways of endowments so, I took whatever was offered I did learn about vectoring so I ended up taking one endowment of brawn, glamour, grace, metabolism, sight, stamina, wit, and voice. As we rode to Carris I felt myself becoming even stronger. I was given a total of 6 endowments of Brawn, 2 of Glamour, 4 of grace, 4 of metabolism, 1 of sight, 12 of stamina, 3 of wit, and 3 of voice. I felt The power of so many people inside of me I wasn't going to let them down. As we approached Carris a sight I thought I'd never see appeared before me. Tens of thousands of Reavers Attacking Carris and the surrounding area. The place reeked of death. After a small speech from Lord Gaborn we Rushed head first into death's door. For the first I'm in a long time I was afraid. I wished I were back in Koguryo with Reno like the old days. We split up into 3 groups one was a diversion to pull the reavers south away from the Fell mage, their leader, the second group went to aid carris, the third group, lead by king Gaborn, was to attack the Fell mage. I was with King Gaborn's group. He was strongly affected by the fell mage's spell as was a few in our group. After a second spell he fell from his steed. I thank the dragon god for giving me his blessing; I wasn't affected at all by the fell mage's spells. I killed many reavers as we fought our way to the mage. I must not have noticed but I was outside the fell mage's evil rune when I realized King Gaborn and his men were still Far behind. I wasn't going to be able to get back to King Gaborn easily so I decided to take the fell mage out myself. I climbed into the body of the rune, fighting off the horde of reaver mages that were building it. There the Fell Mage and I met. As I climbed her body hoping to attack the "sweet triangle" in her head I felt the earth shake underneath us. "Flee!" gaborn's voice rang in my head in warning. I tried to leap from the fell mage's body when a worm of in unimaginable size burst up from her feet. As the worm lifted us into the air I decided it was my time to go, I knew if I didn't shift soon I would die. I felt bad for leaving Gaborn behind but I knew he would survive. I ended up in the modern day world of Gaia. And that brings me up to date with my story. Hopefully I'll be adding more memories to this log soon. I don't need it because of my endowments of wit but I'm sick of telling it over and over again.

((Yes I know I've intergraded myself into David Farland's "Runelords" Series... Sue me, it's an great story. yhea yhea and about 10 diffrent online RPGs. I've been useing this screen name longer than I can remember.))

The start of a saga.

And so I begin my journal.. heh. never thought i'd be writing in one of these.
It was only a few days ago that I picked this little leather-bound book. I've never been much for words. I figured that when I do die someday, thank you Dragon god, I'd like my story to be carried on after me...
