So I've been thinking, looking half-way respectable would probably be of help in my quest to gain the ability of social interaction. I have never really taken care of my body; I've always just ignored it unless it was actively leaking some sort of vital bodily fluid. I regularly wash my hair and let it air-dry, sometimes on my pillow. I never brush my hair, either. I sometimes brush my teeth, but when I notice that they're dirty, which is hardly ever. Acne has been my constant companion ever since the sixth grade.

But now that's about to change. I'm hoping, at least.

I went down to Ace last week and bought a bottle of astringent, which I've been splashing on my face pretty much every time I wander into the bathroom. I brought a hair dryer from home and have been drying and brushing my hair for the past two nights. I'm still not that good about brushing my teeth, but I'm getting there.

I'm actually looking a little better than I was. If I could just drop a few pounds, I'd be just fine, I think. Maybe for my next step I can go out and instigate actual conversations with people.
