-whine- OW! My finger hurts so freaking bad! I was closing the door to my dorm room yesterday as I was heading out for class when BAM! I slammed my right ring fingertip in the door! It hurt like hell! (Still does) But I locked my door and then lifted my hand as to inspect my finger and it was GUSHING blood! crying

I yelled "Oh s**t" and ran to get paper towels to stop the bleeding. What sucked is that I HAD to go to class to turn in my essay. My professor walked in and I said, "Dr. Norris, I sliced my finger open here's my paper bye." and left.

I went to the infirmary and this nice old lady helped me. She put some stuff on it that hurt like a b***h and then she put peroxide on it...which also hurt like a b***h.


The diagnosis? I sliced most of the tissue off of my finger! gonk

It was awful. It bled from 10:50 am to 11:30am. And then it kept bleeding on and off after that...which it is still doing. It hurts. sad

-dances insanely- LOST was AMAZING!! I was shaking it was so good. I can't wait for next wednesday...and the wednesday after that...and the wednesday after that...and so on and so forth. heart heart heart

Hey!! Just thought I'd tell you that me and my family made it through okay and it seems that all my friends did as well. The storm's shift ended up being a VERY good thing. The eye missed New Orleans so New Orleans isn't as bad as it could have been but it's still pretty bad there.

The storm missed the huge power towers so we should get power back sooner than expected. My house has no power but my mom's friend got it back and so that is where we are now. Something like 1.2 million people without power at the moment.

The shift also means that my area wasn't as badly hit but Mississippi was hit badly. Already 50 plus casualties out of Mississippi. No count yet from New Orleans because people can't get in. People are trapped on their roofs and the winds didn't die down until late late afternoon so search and rescue couldn't begin until late afternoon. People will be spending the night on their roofs.

Yea...Katrina wasn't as devastating to New Orleans as originally thought, but devastation is massive.
