I am going to be holding an art contest next summer... so I thought I would make a list of the things I have for it and their approximate value so I can know where I stand with this whole thing. I aim for 30 mil. I will be selling most of these when that time comes... Hopefully the value will rise. I recently got in a nasty car accident, and as a result things were put on hold. Hopefully I will feel up to getting things done soon though. I am starting to get tired of gaia. Just... losing interest. I think I am going to take a big long break from it after my auction ends (tomorrow). I will still come on to check/reply to private messages, but the only interaction I will have with the site otherwise is to do the art that I owe people. 2 auction winners, some bumper prizes, and then my IoDM pieces. This is possibly my last auction I will have outside of IoDM on this site ever again. I will return sometime (probably next summer) to have an art contest where I will give away everything that I own on gaia. Then I will be gone for good most likely. This entry will be full of random thoughts that are barely connected... FEAR IT! Hmmm... I have been away from gaia for many months... but I am thinking of returning!!! I have missed it here. If I come back, it will probably just be for the summer, until school starts again. ..I know I said my last auction was my last... but the winner NEVER wrote me back to tell me what she wanted, so I figure it was voided because nothing came out of it after all. It is soo frustration to go through all of that trouble bumping and making an auction, for the winner to just VANISH. ... so I might have another auction sometime this summer... as well as my realism art being offered through the shop Elusive Reality (which really needs to be redone and fixed up)... and I am thinking of eventually opening a small shop with my cheaper cartoon/anime art eventually... it all depends how my site works out biggrin Oh yes, my site!! I bought a website ^.^ I am not telling anyone the name of it until I get it up and running though razz I am going to have a really crappy layout at first, just so I can get it functioning.. and then work on something nicer. The site is fully dedicated to my art... you will be able to see ALL my art samples there in every type and media, as well as be able to purchase it for real money. I dont know how well it will do, but I have a few friends who do commissions for RL money, and they seem to be pretty sucessful biggrin I am working on a few projects now, so I don't think I will start gaia projects until they are almost all completed. First priority is my site of course... I still have 6 samples that are currently "in progress" and need to be finished for it. Also, yes, my drow picture is STILL not done... I started that how long ago?!?! I totally forgot about it though, and it was just recently that I started working on it again. I am also doing a cheetah painting in acrylic for my sister, and another painting (yet to be determined) in watercolour for myDad for fathers day. that may not sound like much... but it really is...
