x x x x x x x x x ☻ ☺ this is my story; I grew up in Central Miand, where the streets were as busy as the people. I was adopted when I was seven by a generally boring set of parents. We owned a farm. Slaughtered the pigs and milked the cows, thats all we needed. Well, besides Pa, my brother Vincent went adventuring. I never saw him much though. The only hobbies I had was cooking and sewing, which were obviously my favorite activities. One day when Pa came back from doing the daily chores, i noticed there was something different about him. Whether it has the way he now walked, tall and proud, or the way he started talking with his new friends, I don't know. All I knew was that something big had happened. As soon as I saw the change ( which took about three weeks. Hey, I was nine. ), I asked Ma what was going on. At this point I knew we were moving Uptown, to where the castles and important people are, but i still didnt' know why. "Thally, father didn't want me telling you this, but you brother, Vincent, has found something. It was very valuable, and we've very proud of him. We're going to move into his castle next week, so say goodbye to all of your commoner friends, sweetie." Three reasons I was angered by this;
1. Nobody bothered to tell me until I asked. Even if I was nine, and even if I'm not their favorite child, I should at least get some recognition for being alive, right?
2. I only have one friend. and she can barely even exit her own home. how am I supposed to say 'I'm leaving to go someplace rich because of my oh-so-fabulous brother. Good luck on your own!' to a blind girl with one parent?
3. Commoner friends? Really?
So I left. Simple as that. I gathered up some food and supplies and left. I went East. I didn't know where I was going, but I headed there as fast as I possibly could. I soon came across a tiny village filled with friendly people, plenty of food, and a good place to sleep. Boy was I lucky. the places I have to go to now aren't nearly as nice as Cathina was. any questions?
