No, really, I'm writing it this time! No more sitting around planning the hell out of the blasted thing for years. It's time I finally sit down and write the thing. Zack, I'll always envy how you just churn out wonders *sigh*
So, writing a book is much more than I thought it would be. I mean, you can write a story, simple as you please, just churning out whatever you'd like. But what can I say? I'm weird and have read way too many articles about Christopher Paolini. This thing's gettin' published, dang it! *nods* Well... at least that's a goal.
But you see, a book has so many friggin parts. There's your basic plotline. But if you don't include subplots, it gets boring and one-dimensional. But if you can't get those subplots to somehow support the main plot, you're screwed as well. Your characters have to be dynamic and interesting, but believable. You have to describe what your seeing, or the reader gets lost, but if you get caught up in description, your scene becomes a stuffy, 19th century, summer reading list reject. And bearing all this in mind, you're still supposed to be creative and make good literary art. BLEH!
But, I'll be trying. I really am insane, aren't I? So there will probably a lot of journals on the subject. My trials, my triumphs... but mostly my trials, because if it's going well, I doubt I'll have the time to post, since I'll be doing my best to take advantage of the good days. So, for the few dear friends I have on Gaia, please... bear with me? Perhaps add a few words of encouragement? ^_____________^
