Ode to My Pencil

Oh my wonderful pencil.
Beautiful pencil.

Your elegant pink tip,
Royal purple middle,
And beautiful teal end
Awe me.

You are my valiant blade,
As I slice, swipe, battle my way out
Of essays, assignments, and homework.

You are my special friend.
As you glide across the paper
Giving life to my drawings.

You are the envy
Of other pencils.
You stand superior,
Like a king of all pencils.

You are my pencil,
You are my weapon,
You are my friend.
My wonderful pencil.
Beautiful pencil.


Holocaust Poem

What have I done?

Hair shaved,
Cloths looted,
Family ripped away,
Identity stolen.

What have I done?
Did I deserve this?
This overwhelming pain,
Overpowering Anger,
Overflowing tears.

Was it just because,
I am a Jew?
