Close My Eyes

Colors seem
less bright
and tears
I try to
fight

Behind the laugh
behind the grin
my heart is breaking
deep within

At night alone
my soul cries
calling to you
as it dies

A letter here
a phonecall there
sinks me deeper
in despair

I try to hide
the hurt i feel
i sit and pray
that its not real

I close my eyes
and you are there
running fingers
through my hair

You kiss me soft
and hold me tight
bein with you
just feels so right

My eyes open
the fantasy dies
my heart drops
and my sanity flies

Your love is a drug
i can't live without
i hide it inside
when i just want
to shout

So i close my eyes
and be with you
and hope that your
dreaming of me too
