I don't know how long I sat there crying. But it felt like hours until I felt hands rubbing my back gently. Trying to soothe me I suppose. I could feel that her hands were rough, aged by the years. We stayed like that a couple of moments before I pushed away from her and finally looked up at her old wise face for the first time all day, and she smiled back at me. I could see that she was about to say something but I heard the front door slam just then. And I heard Bryan call out ny name. She sighe4d and I just smiled. We both got up and went inside.
When Bryan spottd us walking through the backyard door he walked up to me and gave me a big hug. When he let go he asked,''Hey sis, how are you holding up? I'm very sorry.''he added. I just stared up at his handsome face. Blue eyes, blonde hair, and thought in a couple of hours I would be on a plane and leaving him behind. Of course, we weren't really brother and sister but we were really close. He's my mothers='s best friends son and we have been friends since we were practically in diapers. I thought he was really cute and I loved him, but in a family way. I just gave him a wary smile and he gave me another hug in turn.
