There she stands.
waiting for you.
Her hair blows in the breeze.
All those individual strands.
If only she knew
what awaits beyond those trees.
You take her into your arms.
You crave her and need her presence.
Without her life is meaningless.
You impress her with your good charms
and could never describe her in one sentence
because you are everything but careless.
You walk to the public park
were all the trees provide shade
from the sun and stop the windy chill.
An engine roars with a spark
and gunfire is all around as the trees fade.
You realize that your heart will never again fill.
Chrimson flood.
Its a battle to the finish.
Guns firing and people trembling.
Red, velvet blood.
You try to get the sounds to deminish.
All this noise is deafening.
There she lay.
Waiting once more.
Her hair is stained with red.
You feel cold and in the fray
you though you had never seen her before.
Now your heart will truely, never be fed.

You ask and I will tell.
This freedom is something
I've always wanted and
could never have.
But if freedom means forgetting
what I once held dear...
You can keep it.
