Wow, I have not updated in a while. (Big surprise there)
Well I guess I wanna type something up before I go to bed. What was so odd about this week was that on Wednesday I was extremely happy! I went to the first anime club meeting since before winter break. Yes, my anime club is full of the most fun people ever. I was even looking forward to going to karate (well the only reason I don't like going is because of the time.. maybe if it was at 1:00pm. That's impossible though). I am finally an ik-kyu! One belt before black!
AND THEN. THURSDAY. . . ! I woke up with the most God-awful cold. At first I thought I'd caught strep throat, since it was going around, but I NEVER catch sicknesses that bad. Just bad enough to make me feel miserable and achy, and go through school with it. I nearly gagged on that giant horse pill they made me take for it too. It's frickin' agitating the crap out of my skin. But hey, it's a three-day weekend! And MLK-Day is also my brother's and my best friend's birthday. :3
Oh but my art supplies I ordered from d**k Blick came Thursday too. I just felt too crappy to care. Anyway, it's awesome. I got 24 Prismacolour markers (I decided I don't like Copics that much), Faber-Castell sketching pencil set, and a 100 page sketch book for approximately the same price as buying 13 prismas at AC Moore (and that's WITH shipping. If Fed-Ex wasn't so expensive, it would have very well cost less).

Also something very important! My dad sent in an application for me to have an interview in March to get into the "South Carolina's Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities" s summer program. I'll need a sketch book with at least 50 full ages of things drawn from direct observation, a 9x12 picture of two unrelated objects, and a three dee model that shows awareness of form and space.
Unfortunately I don't know what exactly they're looking for in that third criterion, so I'm afraid I've already failed.
I'll keep on trying though. I really wanna get in.
I might post something in the sketch book later. I'm tired right now. v_v
