Wasting Time
I'm supposed to be studying for the French Test I have first thing tomorrow morning, but am I? Obviously not.

To tell the truth, I don't really give a damn about conjugating verbs and such. Je chante, je chanterais, j'aurais du chante...or is it j'aurais du chanter? Or do I not need the "du" there except in certain circumstances? I forget. stare

I'm also supposed to know all about Francophonie. Why? I don't plan on going on a world tour of all the French Speaking Countries anytime soon. Well, I'm sure they'll be visited eventually, but not because they're French. Though I admit that the information on "Louisiane" is interesting. After all, Louisiane=New Orleans= Louis (and Lestat) =yum. wink

On a somewhat related note, I get to go to Quebec with Key Club (a volunteer organization I joined) in the Spring. Finally, I can try REAL poutine. Oh, sorry, that's Poo-tin, not poo-teen. xp I have a poutine obsession, and I'll admit it freely. There's something about fries smothered in cheese and gravy that just make me hungry. My deepest sympathy goes out to anyone who's never tried it.

Well, I should go study now I guess.

Aurevoir (two words maybe?) sweatdrop

EDIT: Yup, two words. I knew that looked wrong.
And I forgot, I only need "du" when it's "Il/Elle arait du <<insert verb here>>. It's a form of past conditional (he/she should have...). No "du" needed when using "je". sweatdrop

I think it's two words, but what do I know?

I also used to have a poutine obsession, until I stopped eating meat and cheese. And that was the end of that.

And Boo studying! Way to rebel against the system biggrin

    Au revoir. Two words.

What verb form is that 'j'aurais du chanter'? I don't recall any tense that requires a 'du'. At all. And I took high school French for five years. It looks like some form of the conditional, but... yeah, the 'du' ring no bells.

Je chante, tu chantes, il/elle chante, nous chantons, vous chantez, ils/elles chantent.
Perhaps the one you're looking for is "J'aurais chanté"? I'm not sure, and I'm french. sweatdrop
    Anyways.

    Au Revoir. Two words. wink

Blarg! Do not go to New Orleans just for teh vampires! Go for teh MARDI GRAS FESTIVITIES! Mardi Gras > Vampires.
