In the End All That's Left is Thorns

She sat down and stared at the skies, plucking the petals from a rose. she sighed wistfully and looked up at the dark midnight sky as she plucked a petal from the rose. She stared at the stars in wonder. The night had always managed to amaze her, yet it depressed her just the same.

Another petal from the rose. She sighed and watched as a small cloud hovered over the bottom of the moon. Causing a great difference in moonlight. She watched as a small shooting star shot from the sky. she knew many would wish upon that star tonight wishing their dreams true. None would understand that not even a thing such as that cand do anything for you. only make you stare in wonder at what you don't have.

Another petal from the rose gone and on the ground. She sighed deeply and felt the wind hit her back. The cold never stopped her from her midnight sittings. She never slept nor did she eat that much. only knowing in the end it wouldn't matter so why waste iwth it. Taking time out of the little life you had. Because we all know we'll die so why waste it on dreams and fantasies you'll never have.

The petals are gone. She stared down at them in wonder. Never really knwoing how much time truely passed. She hadn't any time to think about time. She sighed as she stared at the empty stem in her hand. Pricking her by accident, the rose bled her blood. She sighed and dropped the stem on the ground. She walked off, not caring.

Because in the end all we have left is the bad things, good things never really mattering. We all bleed, no matter what blood it is. And we all hurt, no matter who it is. So in the end all that's left is thorns.
