OH MY GOODNESS GRATIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! TONIGHTS THE FIRST NIGHT OF HANUKKAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT..IM PROBABLY GOING TO GET BARELY ANY HOMEWORK DURING THE VACATION BECAUSE OF HANUKKAH!!!!!!!!!! just to ask but do u know the story of hanukkah? well wut happened was that in the ancient Egypt times, the Greeks came to Egypt and wanted to take it over from the Maccabis. But the Jew's wouldnt let them have it so there was this huge war between the Greeks and Maccabis. The Greeks destroyed the First Temple and left. When the Maccabis entered the Temple, they saw everything was ruined, and there was no oil to light the menorah in the Temple so they can see. But one of the Maccabis found alittle oil for the menorah and it lasted 8 days and 8 nights. Thats why we celebrate Hanukkah. It is called the festival of lights in English because of the oil.
